20 Noble Uses for Blanky

Sorry Reynolds. 20 Uses for Blanky Addicoat:
  1. Insulate between me and wall (i.e. stop me bashing head when I roll over).
  2. In warm weather, a Blanky left alone for 20 minutes feels a lot cooler than me, and so can be hugged to cool down.
  3. In cold weather, a Blanky is an extra blanket.
  4. Blanky acts as an excellent pillow extension.
  5. Obligatory Hitchhiker's reference: Blanky can be sucked, providing a mood-lifting effect.
  6. When packed in carry-on luggage, Blanky can stop stuff rattling.
  7. Blanky keeps PJ's company all day. Presumably?
  8. Blanky keeps the sheets from arguing with each other in the washing machine.
  9. Blanky, when in the washing machine and dryer provides practice in rolling eyes.
  10. (obscure) Blanky is invaluable in arm-stretching exercises.
  11. Blanky is good to fold and wrap around minor bruises.
  12. In fact, Blanky can scrunch anywhere he is useful.
  13. Blanky can shade eyes, when trying to sleep and there's a light coming in somewhere.
  14. A Blanky, draped over shoulder can prevent neck getting sunburnt.
  15. One is never alone if one has a Blanky.
  16. A well-wielded Blanky can protect one from over-zealous relatives. (Normally attempting to kiss one.)
  17. Blanky catches the drool as you fall asleep.
  18. A dying Blanky (after two or three run-ins with the overlocker), provides proof that you become a ghost when you die, (think about it - a white thing with holes in it...)
  19. In "Rock, Scissors, Paper", Blanky ALWAYS wins.
  20. No matter where you and Blanky are, Blanky smells like home.

Blanky Addicoat the First was the (Original and) Best, the Second and Third were all good, I think the Fourth and Fifth may have been swapped in without my apparent knowledge (Love you, Mum). Every time Blanky had to be repaired, I learnt that things you love, can't remain in stasis forever.
Blanky the Final was made of a different fabric and was pale pink instead of white (new) / whitish-grey (faithful servant). Then I grew too big for Blanky (around 10, made easier by Blanky the Final sucking so much). Around a 2 inch square of the original Blanky is preserved (unoverlocked) and revered, however.

Fetch the straitjacket!

(I forgot that it can indeed protect your eyes from the light - something many a drunk has done...)
